FROM THE JACKET
Here is a school-story that is different and of unusual psychological interest. In this essentially readable novel the author has traced the development of his hero through all the stages of early boyhood at preparatory school, then on to public school, and finally as school-master himself.
During the holidays we follow the boy to his home and the homes of his friends, each so differing in their many reactions which carry both joy and tragedy to the young mind.
The relationships in the swiftly moving lives of boys during the school period, which usually and so easily are apt to be misunderstood and which are so real and mean so much to youth, are most sympathetically portrayed.
Mr Anderson has approached his subject with a deep insight into the emotional characteristics of adolescence with the result that Virgin Sinners becomes one of the most interesting of modern school novels.
