The Man in the Street
The Ernormously Successful Original One Act Play
By Louis N. Parker
Published by Samuel French, London and New York, undated, c1896. Unusual very slim half-leather binding with gilt rules to boards and gilt to spine compartments along with the smallest of titles in gilt. This has to be the thinnest binding we have sold in our 30 years of bookselling. The book measures 18.5 x 11 cm, and including both boards, is a mere 5mm thick!! Marble endpapers. 16 pages which includes a plan of the set for acting out the play.
CONDITION
In good condition. A couple of the raised bands are a little scuffed but otherwise the binding is very good and the joints are secure with no cracking. The marble endpapers are good. Pages good throughout. Overall very good.
