Overall acceptable condition - see photos. Grubbiness/marks/wear/small/tears to dustjacket, especially at edges/corners, now protected by clear plastic cover. Actual hardcover in good condition with just some foxing. Foxing to fore and bottom edges, and throughout. No names or writing.

Originally written by WHD for Nigel Playfair, for ultimate production at the Lyric Theatre Hammersmith, this opera was intended to be an update, using the author s own tramping experiences, of John Gay's Beggars Opera and its sequel Polly. It was, however, much to WHD s disappointment, rejected for the stage.
