George Fraser Black (1866 – September 7, 1948) was a Scottish-born American librarian, historian and linguist. He worked at the New York Public Library for more than three decades, and he was the author of several books about Scottish culture and anthroponymy, gypsies and witchcraft.

CONDITION

A good clean first edition. The cloth binding is in good clean condition with the spine being a little rubbed. Hinges good. Front endpaper has a presentation slip pasted on. All contents present and pages in good clean condition throughout . . a little browning to the for-edge of title page. Overall a good clean first edition.
