SYNOPSIS
When she followed the old man into the building, Cara Hazlitt had no idea that she was to witness a murder and set in motion a chain of events that was to endanger her life and that of her neighbour.

At first it seemed providential that Slim was there, ready to help her escape after she twisted her ankle in an effort to elude the pursuing murderer. But after a few days she was sure that Slim was not what he seemed and she felt that he might be even more of a threat than the murderer.
