Edinburgh; Adam and Charles Black, 1869-1870. A very fine set of Scott's poetical works in fine morocco-backed tartan Mauchline bindings, and all housed in the original velvet-lined Mauchline box. Complete in six volumes, bound in quarter navy morocco over tartan Mauchline boards.

CONDITION
A very fine set. The box is in very good condition with it still retaining its original two labels, small scuff to one of the corners as shown in images provided. The box hinges are strong and in good working order. The lid is a tight fit when closed. The velvet lining is very good with no damage. The bottom of the box has some wear as shown in the very last picture. All six books in fine condition with all boards very good and securely attached. All leather spines very good. Contents to all books and text blocks clean throughout. No previous ownership marks or writing to the books. Overall a very fine and handsome set of Scott's poetical works.
