Published by Dobson Books, London, 1967. First Uk Edition. Landscape 4to. Publisher's tangerine cloth lettered in black to spine, in white pictorial dustwrapper; pp. [32]; wonderfully illustrated throughout in Steadman's idiosyncratic style.
CONDITION
A very good first edition and unlike the few that appear on the market this is NOT an ex-library book. A good fresh first edition in the original dust jacket which is price-clipped but otherwise very good . . just a 5mm closed tear to the bottom edge which has been repaired from the inside using archival repair tape. The boards and spine are very clean. Endpapers also very clean and with no names or writing. All contents present and pages very good throughout. Overall a very good first UK edition. Scarce.
Ralph Idris Steadman (born 15 May 1936) is a British illustrator best known for his collaboration and friendship with the American writer Hunter S. Thompson. Steadman is renowned for his political and social caricatures, cartoons and picture books.
