Lovely Fine Binding in very good condition: This book was specially bound and given to a student in 1976. The George Watson College Prize, Edinburgh. Bound in full maroon goatskin with gilt titling and decoration, marble endpapers and gilt lines to the leather to the inside edges of the covers, 1003 pages. Book measures 23.5 x 17cm and 5.5cm thick.
CONDITION
In lovely condition. The binding is very good and with good sharp corners, no scuffing or marks. THe marble endpapers are very good. No writing or names to the book. All pages very clean throughout. Overall a very handsome, well-bound school prize binding.
George Watson's College is a co-educational independent day school in Scotland, situated on Colinton Road, in the Merchiston area of Edinburgh. It was first established as a hospital school in 1741, became a day school in 1871, and was merged with its sister school George Watson's Ladies College in 1974. It is a Merchant Company of Edinburgh school and a member of the Headmasters' and Headmistresses' Conference.
