The Minstrelsy of the Scottish Border is an anthology of Border ballads, together with some from north-east Scotland and a few modern literary ballads edited by Sir Walter Scott. The collection was first published in 1802 but later expanded. The anthology contains many of the most famous ballads including sir Patrick Spens, The Young Tamlane and The Douglas Tragedy
CONDITION
A good complete set. The cloth bindings are all good and the gilt remains bright and clear to the spines. Endpapers very good. All contents present and pages good throughout. Overall a good complete set.
