A world tour taken by Liverpool Chemist Manufacturer, W.H. Saunders and his wife, visiting the US, New Zealand, Japan, Australia, China etc,  . . Includes articles on: The Land of the rising sun. Presidential address of W. H. Saunders to the Philomatic Society, October 1923, on the opening meeting of its 99th session.

Ayrton Saunders & Co were a wholesale and manufacturing chemists, who were founded in 1868 in premises on Hanover Street in Liverpool city centre.  The firm expanded and took premises in Park Lane (Liverpool) and Prenton (Birkenhead) as well as a branch in the Potteries.  In the end the firm had to contract and the branches were closed, as did the fine building on Hanover Street, which still stands today.

In good condition throughout. Small archival repair to the bottom of the spine. Signed by the author to a bookplate which is pasted to the inside front cover. Overall very good and very scarce too!
