ABOUT
The story of the cleaning, redesign and the restoration is fully told and illustrated. Among the many difficulties encountered were: the elimination of carbon from the atmostphere within the Chapel: selecting the right kind of heating: providing the correct humidity levels for the Rubens painting: lowering the floor level and reinstating an old design. Among the 54 photographs, drawings and maps that have been included are many that have never been published before. A number show aspects of the Chapel that are rarely seen.
