Published by Allen & Unwin, London, (see dates and impressions above). Hardback books with original unclipped dust jackets, 8vo, in original slipcase. Red cloth bindings. Each volume with a folding map at the rear.

CONDITION
A very good early set of first editions. All three dust jackets remain unclipped and in very good condition . . The Fellowship has had a small repair to the inside at the top of the spine using archival repair tape. No other repairs. Boards and spines very good. Endpapers very good mand all inner joints sound. No writing or names to the books. Pages very clean throughout. All 3 folding maps in very good condition with no tears. The slipcase is good with no damage but does have light signs of age and light grubbiness. Overall a very good complete set.
