Original pictorial boards, spines and front covers lettered in black, green pictorial endpapers. With dust jacket to book number 3 only. Illustrations throughout by John Burningham.

This work by Fleming later served as the basis for the 1968 Oscar-nominated film musical scripted by Roald Dahl and starring Dick van Dyke, Sally Ann Howes, and Lionel Jeffries.

CONDITION
A good complete set. Sadly the dust jackets are missing to book one and two. The jacket to book 3 is in good condition but has been price-clipped and there are a couple of repairs to the inside to closed tears, The boards and spines are good to all three books with some very light marks in places (see images). Book 1 has an inscription to the front endpaper dated 1964 but the other two are clear of names or writing. Pages good throughout all three books. Overall a good set of the first edition.
