The work is divided into three parts: the first section deals with the origin of the sport and the study of the "stones"; the second part covers curling during the years 1800-1838, the birth of the Royal Caledonian Curling Club and the curluing "furth" of Scotland (England, France, Canada, Russia, etc); while part three deals with equipment, the science, the art of curling and "Bibliotheca Curliana"
CONDITION
A good copy. The cloth binding is good with a mark to the upper board as can be seen in the main image provided. Endpapers good. All contents present and pages in good clean condition throughout. "From Peter Shaw" is written in pencil to the front endpaper, along with a note in pen which points to the footnote on page 377 where Peter Shaw is mentioned. Small ink stamp to half-title page and one other to the last page of the index. Overall a good copy.
