Offered here is a rare and charming early edition of Pinocchio, the beloved tale by Carlo Collodi, beautifully illustrated by Charles Folkard, one of the most influential British illustrators of the early 20th century. Published circa 1911 by E.P. Dutton, this edition is part of the Boys and Girls Series and features Folkard’s whimsical ink drawings and decorative borders that bring the mischievous puppet’s adventures vividly to life.

This edition marks one of the earliest illustrated versions of Pinocchio in English with Folkard’s artwork, predating many later reprints. His illustrations are noted for their expressive line work and imaginative characterizations, making this a standout piece for collectors of vintage children's books or illustration art.

CONDITION

The book is in good condition, previous owner's names on front free endpaper, age toned end papers.  Some light foxing to some of the pages, but generally very clean.  All colour plates good. Binding is firm and square. Binding good with some surface grubbiness. Overall, a good copy.
