Alexander Murdoch Mackay (13 October 1849 – 4 February 1890) was a Scottish Presbyterian missionary to Uganda known as Mackay of Uganda.
A terriffic and inspiring biography of Presbyterian missionary and engineer Alexander Murdoch Mackay (1849 - 1890), who designed and brought the first steam- driven boat to Lake Victoria (think African Queen), and who died at the age of 41 as much from the chaotic despotism of Ugandan potentates as from malaria.
