This book outlines the history of George Heriot's Hospital, in Edinburgh. George Heriot was born in 1563 and was a goldsmith and jeweller but he had an enduring interest in poor fatherless boys. The Hospital was opened for the reception of boys in 1659 and funded from his trust fund.

CONDITION

A good clean copy throughout. The cloth binding is good with a little dent to the bottom front corner as seen in main picture. All contents present and pages clean throughout. Front endpaper has three George Heriot's School stickers on it and there is a name and date (1963) written on the inside board. Pages clean throughout.
