A very handsome copy of this Bagster bible, presented in a particularly attractive binding. Bound in a fine contemporary leather binding with ornate blind tooled décoration. With large metal clasps that cover almost the full width of the boards. With ornate gilt tooling to the edges of the boards. Blind tooled to the spine with raised bands. Ornate gauffered gilt edges. Octavo: [6.50" tall x 4.75" wide × 2.00" thick].

The Old Testament is in German & French. [Despite the title pages mentioning the New Testament]. The New Testament is in English and Greek.

CONDITION
A fine copy. The binding is very good and the clasp are strong and fully working. Endpapers very good and inner joints sound with no cracking. All contents present and pages very good throughout. With a neatly written gift inscription to the front endpaper which is dated 1864 (see images). Overall a very good copy in a wonderful clasped binding.
