Art Nouveau Copper Counterweight for Chandelier : Decorative piece + Very Heavy
The height of the counterweight is 16cm and is 42cm around its belly. The wooden pulley wheels each measure 3.5cm across.
CONDITION
In good condition but with a couple of fairly large chips from the edges of the wooden wheels. The body of the weight shows age to its surface as can be seen in the pictures provided.
For
sale we have an Art Nouveau very heavy counterweight for a chanderlier. We
believe its made from copper (possibly brass) and has 3 wooden pully
wheels. A very deceptive piece as its an extremley heavy object for its
size, weighing in at around 8-9kg. Not sure how its heavy weight is obtained but our guess is that its filled with lead.
