Complete in 7 vols, 4to, pp. xlvi, 233, [1] + frontispiece and 51 double-sided leaves of plates, folding map in pocket to rear; xlviii,325, [1] + frontispiece and 60 double-sided leaves of plates, folding map and conversion tables sheet in pocket to rear; xlvi, 280, [2] + frontispiece and 55 double-sided leaves of plates, folding map in pocket to rear; xvi, 296 + 4 folding plates; xxiv, 373, [5, maps] + 2 folding plates; xxvi, 228 + 3 double-sided leaves of maps; xxviii, 592 + 3 double-sided leaves of maps. Original blue cloth or boards lettered in gilt, colour-printed dustjackets.

A complete set of the volumes comprising the survey of the county of Argyll - by far the largest project in the series of inventories produced by the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland. It was also the last, with no further volumes produced after the seventh volume of Argyll in 1992, more than two decades after the first Argyll volume.

CONDITION
A very good complete set and all in very good condition. The dust jackets are all very good and the original prices remain intact. All contents present to all 7 books and pages very clean throughout. Overall a fine set.
