Presentation copy signed in the month and year of publication (May 1976) to her friends Barbara and Gordon with love and the familiar “Anne” and signed and dated again in November of 1985 with a full signature. Barbara was Anne's cousin.

An absolutely phenomenal copy, double signed and dated! This is Rice’s first novel and the first book in The Vampire Chronicles. Of course this novel would be produced to film with Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise taking lead roles.

CONDITION
The book is in very good condition with a couple small smudges and softening spine ends. Some age toning to the edges. The top stain is very well intact and presents bright red. There is no real lean to the book at all and the corners are fairly sharp. Overall in very good condition. The original dust jacket is also in good condition. There is some rubbing and surface scratching of course as with nearly every one of these jackets. As well there are creases in the flaps and throughout some wrinkling. There is a chip on the rear panel near spine crown and edgewear and chipping at the spine base. The jacket is NOT price clipped and quite honestly presents extremely well in the new mylar. A definite collector’s piece.
