Hardcover; quarto, cloth with gilt, (26.5cm x 21.0cm x 5.0cm); pp.[26], 369.  English text, with an introduction by Alice Meynell and illustrations by Florence Harrison. Original publisher's olive green cloth, with gilt titles and decorations to cover and spine; top edge gilt, others untrimmed; pictorial endpapers; thirty-six tipped-in colour plates mounted on grey card with captioned tissue guards, plus 36 black and colour line drawings decorating the text throughout.

CONDITION

A very good copy. The cloth binding is good and the gilt remains bright. Endpapers good and inner joints sound with no cracking. All contents present including all 36 colour plates. Pages in good clean condition throughout with just the odd spot here and there to the outer margins. No names or writing to the book. Overall a lovely well-preserved copy.
