The Canterbury Tales, retold by Geoffrey Chaucer in 1906, is a collection of twenty-four short stories told by a group of pilgrims on their journey to Canterbury to visit the shrine of Saint Thomas Becket. Each story explores various themes, including love, honor, and the complexities of human relationships. The tales feature a diverse group of characters, from the noble Knight to the drunken Miller, each bringing their unique perspective to the storytelling contest.

CONDITION
A very good copy. Original dust jacket is good with slight tears to edges, but no major damages. Cloth and gilt binding in mint condition. All contents present, pages are good but has some spotting to the endpapers, tissue card and frontispiece.
