A large paper volume containing a study of the pursuit and natural history of the wildfowl of the Scottish coasts. A first-hand account written by John Guille Millais, British artist, naturalist, and traveller.
A classic work on wildfowling in Scotland dealing with the pursuit of ducks. Chapters include a morning with an 8 bore, a day with a punt gun on the Moray Firth etc. With some excellent illustration of wildfowling and punt gunning.
CONDITION
A good first edition, complete in contents and in good condition throughout. The binding is good with light signs of age and a small dent to the top of the vellum spine. Endpapers good. All contents present and all pages in good clean condition throughout. The photogravures have protective tissue guards which are all in good condition. Overall a very good first edition.
