Hardback with very scarce original dust jacket, decorative binding in the Art Nouveau style by book designer Alice Morse (her monogram to front cover), gilt to all page edges, 284 pages plus 2 pages of adverts at the rear, illustrated by Reginald Birch.

Silas Marner is a novel by George Eliot that follows the story of a reclusive linen weaver who, after being wrongfully accused of theft, isolates himself in the village of Raveloe. His life changes dramatically when he adopts a young girl named Eppie, leading him to reconnect with the community and find true happiness, despite the challenges posed by his past and the secrets of Eppie's biological parents.

CONDITION
A very good copy. The cloth binding is very good with no marks or damage. Endpapers very good, no writing or names to the book, pages very clean throughout. Some faint spotting to endpapers. Overall a very good copy.
