This three‑volume set gathers together Dumas’ vivid retellings of infamous episodes from European history, including the lives and deeds of figures such as the Borgias, Mary Stuart, and other celebrated criminals whose stories combine political intrigue, violence, and moral reflection. 

Notable for its blend of historical fact and literary drama, the work remains one of Dumas’ most compelling ventures outside the novel form, offering readers both entertainment and insight into the darker corners of human ambition.

CONDITION
Bindings are firm and square, some bumping to ends of spines and boards. Browning to front free endpapers and some light foxing sprinkled through prelim pages but mostly clean throughout. Overall, a good copy.
