I could not verify this being D C Thomson's signature but it came into our bookshop along with other books from the publishers library so we're presuming that this is indeed the signature of D C Thomson, publisher of Oor Wullie, The Broons, Beano etc
CONDITION
A good first edition. The cloth binding is very good and clean. Endpapers are good. No writing or names to the book. Pages good throughout. Little browning to title page. Overall a good first edition.
James Hall Nasmyth (sometimes spelled Naesmyth, Nasmith, or Nesmyth) (19 August 1808 – 7 May 1890) was a Scottish engineer, philosopher, artist and inventor famous for his development of the steam hammer. He was the co-founder of Nasmyth, Gaskell and Company manufacturers of machine tools.
