Published by Gall & Inglis, London and Edinburgh, undated but wschool presentation slip pasted to the inside front board is dated 1877. In a beautiful full red leather binding with gilt decoration to the upper board and spine, rear board blind stamped. Gilt to all page edges. With an engraved title page as well as a letterpress title page. Illustrated with 6 engravings on steel.

CONDITION
The leather binding is in very good condition with no damage and the corners remain good and sharp. Inner and outer joints secure with no cracking. All contents present and pages clean throughout. A tad a spotting to the endpapers and to the last few pages. Overall a very good copy in a handsome binding.
