CONDITION

A very good true first edition, The cloth binding is in good condition with just a little crease to the cloth on the front board as can be seen in the images provided. The spine is good with light rubbing to the head and tail and the cloth hasn't darkened at the spin as much as found on other first editions. The endpapers are very good and the inner hinges are secure with no cracking. There is a previous owner's bookplate pasted to the inside front board. All contents present including the tissue guard that protects the frontispiece. The pages are in lovely clean condition throughout and are free from foxing, stains etc. Internally very clean. No names or writing to the book. Overall a very good first edition  first issue.
