BOOK OF RHYMES

PIECES ON VARIOUS SUBJECTS, MOSTLY OF A PRIVATE CHARACTER, REFERRING TO SOME CONNECTIONS OR MATTERS OF THE AUTHOR, WRITTEN AND PARTLY PRINTED AT DIFFERENT TIMES WITHIN THE LAST FEW YEARS; NOW COLLECTED FROM SUNDRY PAPERS INTO THIS VOLUME, FOR CONVENIENCE IN PERUSAL AND FOR PRIVATE CIRCULATION. IT MAY BE MENTIONED THAT THE MANUSCRIPTS WERE NOT SUBMITTED TO THE OPINION OR REVISAL OF ANY ONE, THE AUTHOR FEARINg MUCH ALTERATION AND REFINEMENT RENDERING THE PRODUCTION UNLIKE HIS OWN.

Dundee: Printed at The Advertiser Office, 1863. Small 8vo, cloth, 183 pages.

Here we have a very scarce little book of scottish rhymes by an unidentified author. Published 20 years before William McGonagall, the verse in this little volume is perhaps worse (see examples in images above).

We could no trace of this book for sale, or previous copies being sold, and there is no reference to it anywhere online. A scarce little Scottish Victorian rhyme Book.

In good condition throughout.
