The Lay of the Last Minstrel (1805) is a narrative poem in six cantos with copious antiquarian notes by Walter Scott. Set in the Scottish Borders in the mid-16th century, it is represented within the work as being sung by a minstrel late in the 1600s.
CONDITION
A lovely copy in very good condition throughout. The leather binding is very good with no tears or damage, just a little rubbing to the corners. Endpapers very good. Bookplate to inside front board and name written to front blank endpaper na dated NEw Years Day 1889. All contents present and pages in good clean condition throughout and free from from foxing, stains etc. Overall a very good copy.
