At no period did his income exceed a hundred a year, yet with a family of twelve, he educated four sons for liberal professions, often sending them his last guinea when they were students at College.

CONDITION

A very good sound first edition. The leather binding is good with strong joints and boards firmly attached. Endpapers good. Text complete and pages good throughout but with some age-toning, especially towards the rear of the book. Overall a good first edition.
