(278 x 178 mm); Full calf leather bindings with gilt decoration, marble to all page edges, marble endpapers. pp. lxv, 189 (misnumbered 891); xi, 248; engraved vignettes on title page of each vol. and 110 other plates, one for each fable, by various engravers including Skelton and Barrett, J Chapman, Clarke, J. Smith, some unsigned.
CONDITION
The leather bindings are in very good condition. The endpapers are very good and the inner joints are sound. All contents present including all engravings. Text pages good throughout. Offsetting to pages from engraved plates as no tissue guards present. All plates are in good condition. Overall a handsome complete set in good condition.
