Written in the French langauge
Vertot (1655-1735) was a French historian and pastor to several small parishes in Normandy. He wrote several histories and was made a member of the Academie des inscriptions.
CONDITION
A good complete copy. The original leather binding is in good condition for its age with just a little rubbing here and there. Hinges secure with no cracking. Marble endpapers are in good condition. All contents present and pages very good throughout except for a little water-stain to the edge of pages vii-xii. The frontispiece is in good clean condition as is the fold-out family tree. No writing or names to the book. Overall a good copy.
