Printed, and sold by the Booksellers in Town and Country, London, 1738. Priginal full-leather binding, book measures 22 x 17cm. pp iv-5-450. Illustrated with a frontispiece (portrait of Queen Elizabeth, above a smaller illustration of the Spanish Armada), plus a further plate between pages 96 and 97, titled "The Defeat of the Spanish Armada".
CONDITION
A very good copy and complete in contents. The leather binding is work and rubbed and the rear board has cracking to the leather but the board is still attached by the binders cords. Endpapers good and inner joints sound with no cracking. All contents present including the two wonderful plates as called for. Pages good throughout. Both plates are in very good condition with no tears. Overall a good copy of this scarce book.
