Point Counter Point, is a novel by Aldous Huxley, first published in 1928. In his most ambitious and complex work, Huxley offers a vision of life from a number of different points of view, using a large cast of characters who are compared to instruments in an orchestra, each playing his separate portion of the larger piece. One character, Philip Quarles, acts as a guide to Huxley’s scheme, explaining the author’s motives to the reader and speculating upon the actions of the other characters.
