Illustrated with a frontispiece to each volume, two plates to Volume I, and one folding plate and four plates to Volume II.Collated, complete. The plates include a 3 leaf fold-out facsimile of Shelley's dedication from 'The Revolt of Islam'.

This is the first edition of this work and is complete in two volumes. A biography on the life of the Romantic poet, Percy Shelley. Shelley is one of the most important figures of the Romantic era, not only producing his own poetry, but being close friends with the infamous Lord Byron, and the husband of 'Frankenstein' author, Mary Shelley. This biography explores Shelley's life and poetry, an in-depth look into the short life of the poet.

CONDITION
A good complete two volume set. The cloth bindings are good with light signs of age. Black clay endpapers good. All contents present to both volumes and pages good throughout and free from foxing, stains etc. Overall very good.
